CTR Punch Needles

At CTR Needleworks we offer three types of punch needles. 1, 3, and 6 strand, all having the following qualities:

   All Metal Design
   Comfort Design Handle - The size of a pencil and the ability to add your favorite foam or plastic grip.
   Bevel Indicator - For correct punching direction.
   Pre-cut Gauges - Gauge comes cut and placed on the needle shaft.
   No interchangeable parts

1-Strand Needle

The 1-strand needle is made to take only one strand of embroidery floss, size 12 Perle' Cotton or fine metallic thread. (The gauge will be cut at 3/8" and 1/2").

3-Strand Needle

The 3-strand needle is made to take two or three strands of floss, size 8 Perle' Cotton or " Petite" Alpaca. Some over-dyed floss will feel stiff and not flow well through your needle. You can adjust by using 2 strands of floss. It will give your needlework a finer look and actually help those who tend to over-punch. Image 6

6-Strand Needle

The 6-strand needle is made to take 4, 5, or 6 strands of floss, fine wool or 2mm silk ribbon. Have fun trying all the different types of thread, silk, over-dyed, etc. (The gauge will be cut at 1/2"). May also be used on 18 Mesh Needle Point Canvas Image 7
